MG Lab brings MergeGuard AI review, security scanning, and fix suggestions into your editor.
MG Lab is the MergeGuard extension for VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and other VS Code–compatible editors. Review the file on your screen or your local git diff before opening a pull request—using the same MergeGuard account, plan, and monthly review limits as GitHub and GitLab.
What you can do
- Review Current File — AI review of the active editor tab with findings as inline diagnostics
- Review Git Diff — review uncommitted changes in your working tree (up to 40 files per run)
- Security Scan — scan lockfiles, Dockerfiles, Terraform, YAML, and
.envfiles for known vulnerabilities (OSV, plus Trivy on eligible plans) - Explain & apply fixes — plain-language explanations and optional one-click AI patches from the sidebar or editor quick actions
